pic of Norma NORMA JONES has a varied background in housing and benefits advice, politics, broadcast and campaign work with local and national pressure groups. As a trainer, she has worked with local authorities, housing organisations and voluntary projects and was manager of the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Scottish Training Unit.

A former Edinburgh Councillor and member of CoSLA, Norma spent some years as depute chair of the Edinvar Group. She has also been an honorary tutor in social work at Stirling University, and a visiting lecturer in housing at Glasgow.

Norma currently designs and delivers courses in interpersonal skills, personal safety, presentation and public speaking, and training for trainers. She also organises Scottish conferences, delivers information services for national pressure groups and undertakes housing research.


pic of Brian BRIAN OGG has many years’ experience as a journalist on a variety of Scottish daily newspapers, local and national. He has held senior positions in both the design and production and the news-gathering sides of newspapers.

Before setting up Jones Ogg Associates he was Assistant News Editor of The Scotsman and as would be expected has built up a wide range of contacts inside the press and broadcast media and throughout Scottish public life generally.

His skills also encompass Web Site design and Internet publishing, along with a continuing involvement in desktop publishing and design for a wide range of clients in Scotland.

Brian has an English and philosophy MA from Aberdeen University.
